On-Site MB Hospital Campus

Upper GI Endoscopy & Colonoscopy with Biopsy

Direct mucosal visualization and targeted biopsy sampling of esophageal, gastric, and colorectal lumina using flexible video endoscopes.

Clinical Overview & Diagnostic Rationale

Gastrointestinal endoscopy provides direct high-definition visualization of upper and lower digestive mucosa. Suspected ulcerations, polyps, or mass lesions are directly biopsied under vision for histological confirmation.

Primary Indications & Clinical Scenarios

Evaluation of dysphagia, persistent vomiting, or unexplained anemia
Screening & diagnostic colonoscopy for lower GI bleeding or polyps
Biopsy of esophageal, gastric, or colorectal tumors
Patient Preparation & Guidelines

Upper GI endoscopy requires 8 hours fasting. Colonoscopy requires bowel preparation solution (PEG laxative) as prescribed on the prior evening.
