Persistent Mouth Ulcer or Sore (>2–3 Weeks)

A sore, white/red patch (leukoplakia/erythroplakia), or ulcer on the tongue, inner cheek, or gums that does not heal with routine ulcer gels or vitamins.
Painless Neck Mass or Swollen Lymph Node

A firm, painless swelling or lump in the side of the neck, jawline, or collarbone area that slowly enlarges.
Persistent Voice Change or Hoarseness (>3 Weeks)

Nipple Inversion, Dimpling, or Bloody Discharge

Recent inward pulling of the nipple, dimpling/puckering of breast skin (orange-peel appearance), or spontaneous bloody discharge from one nipple.
Unexplained Weight Loss & Loss of Appetite

Unintended loss of 5% or more of total body weight over 1 to 3 months without dieting, exercise, or intentional weight loss.

Profound fatigue not relieved by rest, accompanied by drenched night sweats or unexplained low-grade fever.
Persistent Cough (>3 Weeks) or Blood in Sputum (Hemoptysis)

A dry or productive cough lasting over 3 weeks that does not respond to routine antibiotics or cough syrups, or coughing up blood-streaked phlegm.
Painless Blood in Urine (Hematuria) or Urinary Straining

Red, pinkish, or cola-colored blood in urine without severe pain, or difficulty passing urine with a weak stream.
Persistent Abdominal Distension, Bloating & Pelvic Fullness

Continuous daily feeling of abdominal swelling, early fullness while eating, or pelvic pressure lasting more than 2–3 weeks.

Frequent headaches waking you from sleep or occurring early morning, accompanied by projectile vomiting, sudden seizures (fits), or limb weakness.

Oncology Emergency Helpline: Neutropenia, Sepsis & Bleeding Protocols
If you or your loved one is experiencing fever ≥ 100.4°F, uncontrolled bleeding, severe breathlessness, or inability to swallow fluids, do not wait. Immediate ER transfer and stat CBC evaluation are critical.
Fever > 100.4°F (38.0°C) during Chemotherapy

A single temperature measurement ≥ 100.4°F (38.0°C) or sustained ≥ 100.0°F for over an hour in a chemotherapy patient.
Immediate Action Protocol:
Go to the nearest Emergency Room (ER) or contact oncologist immediately. A stat CBC (Complete Blood Count) and IV antibiotic evaluation are required within 60 minutes.
Chemotherapy lowers white blood cells (Neutropenia). Fever during neutropenia is a medical emergency because the body cannot fight bacterial infections on its own.

- •Do NOT take Paracetamol or Crocin before calling your oncologist or getting a blood test, as it masks the fever signal.
- •Do NOT wait overnight or till the next OPD morning to seek medical care.
Grade 3-4 Oral Mucositis (Severe Mouth Sores & Inability to Swallow Fluids)

Uncontrolled Vomiting (> 4-5 Episodes in 24 Hours)
